Electronics & IT-Engineer

Jente Heremans

Who am I?

Let's start with the basics. My name is Jente Heremans and I'm a member of the peculiar race known as Engineers. More specifically, the subset of Electronics & IT. Also known as The Nerds™.

As is the case with a lot of my colleagues, I tend to divide parts of my life into projects. This site serves as a central repository (AKA hoarding space) for the most public ones.

But wait, there's more!

TV-Cliché's aside, there really is more to tell.

Enthusiastic and passionate about IT - Growing up it became quickly apparent that I had an interest in IT and Electronics. From soldering my first clock in my early teens until today, I've always had a knack for starting projects in my free time.

Not just IT - Over the years I started to feel the need to develop other skills. These mostly fell into the category of what's known today as soft skills. Organization, talking in front of an audience, etc... Not to mention that it's been a fun experience.

I still remain active:
  • Head of the Technical Department (CTO, Board Member) at Kapeltheater, a theater group.
  • Co-presenter of Wieter's World and live-technician at Radio Utopia, a local radio station.
  • Local events (support staff, organization and technician)
  • ...

Learning new things and enjoying my passions has always been in my mind, even today.
